Over the years, many unsettling forecasts have circulated, and a recent move involving Trump has caused renewed concern that another one might be unfolding.
Well-known figures such as Nostradamus, Baba Vanga, and Nicolas Aujula have all been associated with predictions that some people believe later aligned with real events.
Recently, Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro was taken into U.S. custody following actions ordered during the Trump administration and is expected to appear in a New York court on Monday, January 5.
Trump authorized U.S. authorities to detain Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, who are now facing allegations related to organized crime activities.
In response, many people have revisited a well-known prediction attributed to Nostradamus, expressing concern that it may connect to these recent developments.
Nostradamus, born Michel de Nostredame, was a French astrologer and writer who lived in the 16th century. He is best known for a collection of cryptic writings titled Les Prophéties, which contains 942 short verses.

These writings were composed in symbolic language and multiple tongues, leaving them open to interpretation and debate for centuries.
One social media user recalled reading, decades ago, a prediction believed to describe a Western nation led by an unqualified ruler, followed by events that could spark a major global crisis. According to the user, that interpretation now feels less far-fetched.
Others pointed to claims that Nostradamus foresaw a large-scale international conflict around the year 2026, while some expressed concern that current political tensions could grow into something more serious.
A commonly cited passage mentions a prolonged period of struggle lasting several months, affecting many people, and references locations such as Rouen and Évreux.

Some history enthusiasts have attempted to link these verses to ongoing global te:nsions, suggesting that recent developments in South America could add further strain to an already fragile international situation.
At the same time, Trump has previously emphasized his willingness to pursue peaceful resolutions and has expressed interest in being recognized for diplomatic efforts.
It is also important to note that the geographic references in Nostradamus’ writings are rooted in 16th-century France, which gives many readers reason to believe the prediction may not relate to modern-day events in the Americas.
As with all such forecasts, only time will tell what the future holds in 2026. History shows that while some predictions appear to align with events, many others do not.
